Mom’s Apron and Bag

Sewing

~*~

I made the super cute apron above for my mom for birthday almost 2 weeks ago.

My mom loves pink and I love black and white.

Together it makes a nice color combo.

~*~

It’s reversible.

The “front” side has a pocket made with the dots fabric

and it has a ribbon on it that you can hook your thermometer to.

Also it has a double ruffle which was tricky to make.

I didn’t add up the layers of fabric(8) and broke quite a few needles trying to figure out what’s going on!

I ended up hand sewing the back seam.

~*~

There is exactly 1 exposed seam that is on the waistband,

but it’s only for 2 inches and it’s serged.

Did you see the matching bag?

Fully lined and so cute!

We filled it with bath products from LUSH.

Gil and I had a lot of fun picking out bath treats from the jam packed store,

that was filled with so many lovely smelling and fun shaped goodies!

There was so much scents in the air that my asthma was a little bothered

so you might want to keep that in mind if you suffer as well.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We even got to see a demo of one of the bath bombs.

We will be going again!
